My book, Copper Sun is really intense. Amari's friends and family were slaughtered, but she survived. Right now she is on her way to Cape Coast after being shackled and slaughtered. Two of her friends, Tirza and Kwadzo, just died and she feels as if she can't go on with this without her family. Has anyone died in your family that you loved very much that you felt you couldn't live without them? Do you have the same feelings as Amari and how she might have felt when she lost her loved ones?
